My thoughts

If you are a Disillusionist series fan, like me Simon is not a stranger to you. For me Simon Fitzgerald's flamboyant attitude has always been attractive. I was dying to read more about him ever since Miss Crane first introduced him in her books. 

In this novella, Devil's Luck we find out more about Simon and Fawna. Simon, who has no care in the world attitude has a depth that I never imagined. He pretty much doesn't give a shit about whatever is in his future. He is more determined to change his fate more than anything. Fawna in other hand has hard time giving up seeing everyone's fate. Even though she doesn't want them to happen, there is no going around it. So when Simon's denial to accept his future infuriates her, it also makes her curious. Maybe there is a loop hole and there is hope. 

Even though it's like 30k or something, I loved reading this short bits of Simon and Fawna's life. Before reading this book you must read The Disillusionists series first.

My Thoughts

It's been about a year that I read the first two books of The Disillusionists series and you know a year gap tends to make you forget what had happened in the books in the first place. So I went back read the first two books again and then read the third book. Seriously my memory is very weak remembering the characters. Let's face it I have tube-light syndrome. So even after I read the first two books before I got the the third one I was very confused why Simon was trying to be a brides made. I mean I specifically remember him being a boy. Le sigh tube-light syndrome. 

So before I get strayed off of the topic and babble some more, I LOVED the third book of Disillusionists series. The pacing was excellent, the story flowed smoothly and absolutely loved how everything wrapped up in the end. Thank you Galla for recommending this books to me, I loved them. Also thank you for introducing me to Gumby, I have very little knowledge about American pop culture from the 50's.

So if you are looking for a change in your reading, I would recommend you check out The Disillusionists series.

AT LAST!! I have been waiting for the third book cover or synopsis after I finished both Double Cross and Mind Games of The Disillusionists Trilogy early this year. The audiobook comes out in November 2011 but as I am not so keen on the audiobook thing I would have to wait till December to get an ebook copy of Head Rush. I promise to avoid the early reviews... or I'll TRY to avoid. If I fail.... I shall get myself the audiobook *shifty eyes*

My Thoughts

WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!?! I knew something big was coming but hale, I did NOT see that one. I seriously didn't.

*deep breath* I am calm....

This is not like the last book at all. There is more power hungry people going around. Secrets are getting revealed. People are not what they seem.

I think Shelby will get dark by the next book, driven by revenge.

Justine..... I hope there is a way to change or cure i don't know what but something that might rescue her from the current state she was left behind in this book.

And now about Team Cucumber...... I sympathetic with him when he came out with the story to Justine, now when I am finally finish with the 2nd book I don't even know how much of truth was in there.

Team Kabob, it's not hard to hate him and then love him at the same time because the hole story is being told from Justine's point of view. I'll leave it at that.

Great story, I just hate the cliffy. And I guess it's only because of the cliffy I'll be waiting for the third book like a hawk.

My Thoughts 

This was such a nice change on my book genres. From the beginning till the end it had me captive. I routed for teams and found myself connected to Justine on many levels. 

Let's start why I found Justine so appealing, she was ogling every man meat she came across. Not complaining, I do too. lol. 

Justine leads a double life with her stoked up fear. And it's a relief for her when she finds herself without it but everything has a IF at the end of a bargain so does her new found freedom from dilutions. 

Along the way she finds herself attracted to the boss along with a few others. And to be honest I was routing for the boss the entire book, even though she had a boyfriend most of the book.

Packared and Otto both very powerful man and both attracts Justine. No wonder girl was very confused till the very end. And frankly I am secretly hoping she ends up with the boss in the next book. *shifty eyes*

Overall a good book. There are mention of some smexing, mystery and little bit of sup world, I highly recommend it.
