My Thoughts (SPOILERS AHEAD)

My thoughts are are rather all over the place, let me gather them while I rant about how I missed reading books and blogging about them! I missed it so much! I feel like I am out of the loop on books, new releases, and mostly my blogger buddies. 

As for the book, I started reading it after I saw the movie trailer (I will link the trailer below). The trailer was great, so when I saw it was based on a book I had to read it. The story changes point of view between the lead characters Cassie and Ben. I had a bit of trouble at the beginning keeping up with the changes of POV and flashback. 

Lets talk about the characters, Cassie is a normal sixteen year old trying to survive the alien infested world while still crushing on boy(s). I have come to terms with the fact that attraction is fatal, you can not help whom you like. Specially when you are a sixteen year old girl. She still was level headed and and very brave. And to tell the truth she is one from the many female characters that I love and adore that did not piss me off. She made great life choices.  

Ben AKA Zombie, I liked him. He too was a very 'teen' boy caught in the middle of his own angst and alien infested war yet still trying to make it in the world. He acts like a protector due to the circumstances he faced. He is the hero every young adult book is made of. 

And of course I can not stress enough how much Evan Walker made an impact with his Edward Cullen characteristics. SPOILER ALERT he is one of the different species and an good egg. In spite the stalkerish behavior he still makes you melt with his cuteness. Evan made me had mixed feelings. So I will love a to read some of his POV in the future books. 

Overall I loved the story, I feel a kinship to the characters, I can not wait till I read more. So I already got the second book and I am looking forward to start reading it tonight.

My Thoughts

Let's just start with I WANT THE NEXT ONE GIMME GIMME!

You know the feeling when you read something amazing and want more but alas the next installment doesn't come out any time soon? Yeah this was one of those reads for me. That's why I like reading my series when they are all finished. I don't have to agonizing months and then forget why I liked the previous book in the first place. Probably noticed not a fan of re-reading my already read shelf unless it's a cupcake book. 

So all things aside specially the fact of me not getting my fat grubby hands on the next book, this was excellent. Again the book cover, it's always been a put off for me and no Zombies did not look like that from what I gathered. So yeah if you are a fan of Zombies, this is a must read. Put it on your TBR along with it's previous book.

My thoughts

I have been pushing this off my reading list every time it appears in my kindle. I am glad that I finmally gave in and read this. I really am. Lemme just say paranormal, UF is an extraordinary world where authors brings new myths, stories, creatures to life that you never thought possible. 

When I hear the word Zombie it's associated with Walking Dead, Evil Dead anything that is mindlessly dead and do not at all have a brain, that works like human more like human brain eater. So Rowland's White Trash Zombie is one of those books that made me think twice about my zombiesist (is that a word?) ways. 

One of the thing that put me off reading this for so long was the cover. I know it's pretty but it's really not how I saw Angel Crawford when I read the book. I can not deny the fact that I do in fact love the cover but it just didn't get me started on the book immediately, so yeahhhh... that's just me =/

I am trying retain myself from flailing around about the book right now but I will say that if you have even an inkling love for zombie anything really, this is the thing to try.

My thoughts

Have we establish the fact by now that I am in love with contemporary romance, specially when it's Kristan Higgins'. 

I confess I was a wee bit reluctant to read this because well with miss Higgins' books and me goes something like this, LOVE LOVE LOVE, meh ahh whinie noises, GAHH SO GOOD I WANT MORE, huh okay, BAM WOOOOOAHHHH. Does that at all make any sense? *cricket cricket* Well I guess not. However I enjoyed reading this book very much. Most of the contempt books I have read is far from the angsty stuff that's one of the main reasons for me to love this genre. But with 'The Next Best Thing' miss Higgins tried a bit of angst while it was still fluffy the angst just made the book more appealing as I went on. Again another record while reading this, yes I stayed up all night and finish it even though I had classes at 7 and had to work till 7 in the evening afterwards. Ahh good ol' times. 

End verdict, I love Kirtan Higgins and if you have seen me raving about her books trust me they are all good with a bit of bumpy rides.

My Thoughts

Before I go deep into my incoherent ranting I would just like to point out that from the four books I have read from Miss Higgins, this is the second book I loved. Now that is out of the way lemme tell you why I loved it. 

First, this is more of a how the characters first met and fell in love sort of story so comparing the previous books from Kristan Higgins I love reading about a boy meets girls and the process along the way of falling in love rather then they were already in love for years just didn't say it out loud. 

The story in general is pretty nice. Grace take on how she had lied about her 'boyfriend' is pretty hilarious,  and reminded me a lot about my sixth grade. Yeah we all do it once to get into those social circles which  later becomes rather awkward to talk about. Callahan O'Shea is not the typical boy next door we read so much about but in a way he also sort of is. 

Must read.

I finished reading this about ten minutes ago, I'm sure there is going to be TONS of typos when I'm done writing this post but I have to write this down now before I forget all these feels. I have so much love for this book right now it's simply indescribable!

A Fall Of Water, is final installment of the Elemental Mysteries series. I have been sticking with this series from the very beginning and I am really glad that I stuck to it till the end. I still remember reading about Beatrice and Giovanni meeting for the first time in A Hidden Fire. Tenjin, Carwyn, Dez every one throughout these books have grown on me. And in A Fall Of Water, Ben has been one of my favorite character to read about. He is just a big sweetheart and I want more about this Vecchio.

The last book goes into a bit deeper in the vampire myth than the previous books. Revealing more about the elements of the vampires and the power to manipulate it. One of the main thing that was fascinating to me was Giovanni's vampire bloodline, at the end I felt like learning more of the ancient vampires history. But hats off to Miss Hunter for bringing this awesome characters to life and thank you so much for introducing me to them.

It breaks my heart to say goodbye to the characters and this story but this was really one of the perfect ending for a series. If you are a fan of paranormal vampire novels, Elemental Mysteries is a MUST read.

My thoughts

First, I can NOT believe I waited this long to read this book!

There are demons, secret society of demon hunters and hexly knights in shining armor riding on their trustie steed driving awesome cars to save the girl. So in a nutshell, absolutely awesome!

The hex boys are anything but your average teenage boys. They fight demons, control elements, own cool cars provided by their parent by their parents, goes to school, has their own guardian fairy?! Yup, not your average teenage boy. All the six boys are just so amazing each in their own way that I couldn't help but fall in love with them. I am still trying to decide which one I liked the most. But really I can not decide!  

Aurora is not you kick ass heroine that's been practicing to fight demons all her life. She is somewhat normal compared to the hex boys other that the fact she sees DEMONS! Aurora might not have all the kick ass martial arts training like the boys but she has a cunning ability to throw you off the rocker. She uses her feminine charms like sobbing, hugs, and flattery to get her way. Now let me tell you what I loved about Aurora Lahey. The Lahey family, hands down. I have a huge family, we are all very tight and A&E Kirk's detailed description about the Lahey family reminded me allot about my own.

Aurora's power is still somewhat mystery for me and why they moved also who was THAT in her last vision. And hopefully we will be getting all the answers in the next Divinicus Nex book or at least few of them anyways.

So recommended to anyone who loves reading paranormal YA.

My Thoughts

Loved it. A Million Suns is the second on Across The Universe series. A Million Suns picks up few months after where the first book Across The Universe ended. Amy and Elder still in Godspeed trying to figure out the secrets that Eldest had covered up and chasing after clues Orion had left for Amy to reveal one of those big secret.

In this book Elder is suppose to become the Eldest (captain/one man government) of the ship. But he is reluctant to be called as Eldest. He is unsure of himself, he tries to stick by doing the right thing but after putting off the Phydus in the ship. However after being off of the Phydus, crew has a mind of their own as there starts a riot on the ship. Amy chasing behind Orion's clues, and yes she still hates him. But her eagerness to know the truth thrives away that issue. She and Elder eventually comes across the actual truth and it pretty much controls the entire story. A new villain rises. And I have to this new villain has been suspicious since I read book 1. He was always saying stuff that made you think he is on your side but then sneaked up on you.

A Million Suns progress the character a lot after Across The Universe. The relationship between Amy and Elder is still in developing stage but this time Amy has more confidence about her feelings for Elder by the end of this book.

I am a dork so space and constellations are my thing. So the end verdict, if you loved Across The Universe, A Million Suns is a must read.

My Thoughts:

Every time I up and go trying to give a little bit of summery about the book that I read, I get side tracked and forget the most important part. What I actually thought of the book. So before I start getting side tracked again let me just say, I really liked it. 

I love reading paranormal YA and Wander Dust was an wonderful read with the right amount of para stuffed with some gorgeous science elements. 

Now a little bit about the characters, I LOVED the name Seraphina so much that I decided to name my gold fish baby Seraphina. And it response to the name too! It's really very cute. I was talking about my goldfish, if anyone's wondering. Sera was well put together character, acting like the sixteen year old that she is. Trying to get her father's attention by doing the most rebellious things she can come up with. The relationship between the father and her was next to non-existence which lead me to question, if that was her real father. Who knows maybe there is a bigger mystery in there!!

Bishop, I swooned every time I tried picturing him talking in his British accent. le sigh. Bishop's interference in Sera's life at first was questionable. I was confused if this boy was good or evil or in between. His mysterious nature puts an edge at first which he manages to maintain further by talking about his past with Sera. However he proves he is a friend to her, eventually. In other words, he is the perfect romantic boyfriend a sixteen year old girl can only hope for. I would have to say, Bishop is an intriguing character about whom I happen to have basket full of questions.   

Wander Dust is the first in The Seraphina Parrish Trilogy. If you are looking for something unique to read, I would definitely recommend you to check this book out.

I love zombie books and movie. I was sure that I knew everything there is to know about Zombies, mainly how to kill them! Most importantly ONE thing I was sure about that zombies don't talk or think (rationally) or do anything other than look for human Mac and mumble uhnnnnnn. After reading Warm Bodies, Isaac Marion changed my mind through the voice of R.

Warm Bodies, is told from R's point of view. And he is the hero. Who is R? R is a zombie. I know right? I was skeptical too when I first started the book. But as you can see even is the book is from a zombie's point of view I stuck with it. R isn't an ordinary zombie, he feels but like all the other zombies he gets high on human brain and their memories. After eating a specific human he starts to fee some more than he already did. The book synopsis gives the idea that R only regained memories of the human after eating his brain. But the thing is he was already different, the brain just gave him some memories to live. R struggles with his zombie life, zombie family and friends when he starts to change.

I picked up the book specially after seeing it was going to be turned into a movie, and I just wanted to read what the fuss was all about. I am looking forward to see how they adapt the thing in Hollywood version.R is being played by Nicholas Hoult and Teresa Palmer will be playing Julie.

Overall, Warm Bodies was really a good book, I would recommend it to readers like me who still think zombies don't have feelings. Maybe this will change your mind!
