Book Synopsis (goodreads)

Dear Reader,
Life is great for me. I have my chicory coffee, my warm beignets, and my best friend on the cell phone. Once the sun goes down, I am the baddest thing prowling the night: I command the elements, and I know no fear. For centuries, I've protected the innocent and watched over the mankind, making sure they are safe in a world where nothing is ever certain. All I want in return is a hot babe in a red dress, who wants nothing more from me then one night.
Instead, I get a runaway Mardi Gras float that tries to turn me into roadkill and a beautiful woman who saves my life but can't remember where she put my pants. Flamboyant and extravagant, Sunshine Runningwolf should be the perfect woman for me. She wants nothing past tonight, no ties, no long-term commitments.
But every time I look at her, I start yearning for dreams that I buried centuries ago. With her unconventional ways and ability to baffle me, Sunshine is the one person I find myself needing. But for me to love her would mean her death. I am cursed never to know peace or happiness-not so long as my enemy waits in the night to destroy us both.
--Talon of the Morrigantes

My Thought
Talon is a Dark Hunter who has been walking this earth for 1500 years without a soul. As predicted and have seen in the other books, he is full of angst. His past life made me cry a little bit. Not the torture as much as the loss he suffered from.
Sunshine is a nutcase. And I felt related to her, because seriously I don’t have a mouth brain filter either. Sunshines entire family is pretty much weird, but I totally love her.
This story had some high revelation about the Dark Hunter world.  Acheron’s past comes back into tiny bits, which left me wanting to know about him more.
Artiemis is one interesting character. Her and Ash’s relation wasn’t so clear but Ash had feelings for her that I did came across which Artie smashed whenever he needed her.
This book was full of revelation and angst. I loved the way Sherrilyn Kenyon writes her warriors and lemons. I loved it to bits. If you are a fan of the Dark Hunter series it’s worth checking out.

Favorite quotes from this book
"So, you're like Angel?
You watch way too much television. Angel has a soul. I don't.
Now you're back to being scary again.
Baby, you ain't seen scary yet."
My Review
Night pleasure is the first book to Dark Hunter series *technically*. Dark Hunter starts of with Fantasy Lover where we see a little mention of Kyrian.
Night Pleasure is about Kyrian and introducing us to a new supernatural world. This book wasn't as exceptional as I found Fantasy Lover to be. But this book is definitely worth checking out.
Kyrian a two thousand year old dark hunter (Vampire) without his soul. He walks this earth to protect human kind from losing their souls.
Amanda is an accountant with powers beyond her control. With Kirian's help she is trying to keep her family safe and keep herself safe.
I liked the side characters more than I liked the main ones. Nick is my favorite character from now on. He is a complete sweetheart.
Tabby is Amanda's identical twin who is geared up as a vampire slayer most nights. I am looking forward to reading about this two more. I here they both have different books. And I can not wait to get my hands on them. TEEHEEE!
But most importantly I am very intrigued by Ash, he is eleven thousand years old and I hear his book is the longest and the most interesting one. And I think will be needing a new piggy bank.

Review: Fantasy Lover by Sherrilyn Kenyon

    Series: Dark Hunter #0
    Genre: Supernatural, Romantic,
    Publisher: St. Martin's Paperbacks (November 28, 2006)
    Paperback edition 352 pages
    Borrowed from library.
You can buy it from Amazon

This book is part of the Dark-Hunter universe, but does not feature any Dark-Hunters, For that it's considered an introduction to the series hence the #0.

Dear Reader, Being trapped in a bedroom with a woman is a grand thing. Being trapped in hundreds of bedrooms over two thousand years isn't. And being cursed into a book as a love-slave for eternity can ruin even a Spartan warrior's day. As a love-slave, I knew everything about women. How to touch them, how to savor them, and most of all how to pleasure them. But when I was summoned to fulfill Grace Alexander's sexual fantasies, I found the first woman in history who saw me as a man with a tormented past. She, alone, bothered to take me out of the bedroom and into the world. She taught me to love again. But I was not born to know love. I was cursed to walk eternity alone. As a general, I had long ago accepted my sentence. Yet now I have found Grace-the one thing my wounded heart cannot survive without. Sure, love can heal all wounds, but can it break a two thousand year old curse? Julian of Macedon

    Favorite quote from Fantasy Lover
"Because I have no boobs. My ears stand out, and I have freckles all over me."
    "Boobs?"
    "Breasts."
    "You have very nice breasts."
    "Thanks. What about you?"

    "I have no breasts. (Julian)"

    "Holy green guacamole!"

"Your boyfriend is…well, way buff. Monster buff. Lord, king buff"

    My Review

I finished Fantasy Lover in record time FYI. I was so invested in it that I could NOT put this thing down.

This book is oh my gawd! No words. Loved it! It was Intense completely Delicious and had me crying and laughing at the same time.

Dear book where have you been all my life!

    Julian of Macedon
, Greek love slave, summoned to take care of woman’s loins for two thousand years. Golden Viking *at least that’s what it said* sex god! *now there are two Viking sex gods I have come across* Julian is trapped inside a scroll for the past two thousand years. He is a fierce warrior of his time feared by all. his oh so conniving deceiving brother decides to trap him in a scroll for all eternity. Born from a goddess of love Julian was deceived from it. He had never known what love is in his two thousand years. That is until he meets Grace.

Grace Alexander, a SEX therapist and she haven’t had any for the past four years. *as Selena says, (Grace’s bestie) this is the Age of Electronics woman, I agree.* let’s move on. Grace is the modern woman who believes in science and logic not magic and love slave. But soon she changes her mind when Julian appears before her after the incarnation she does *forced by her gypsy wannabe friend Selena*. Grace is guarded with her heart. But she finds it hard to not to fall for the ancient warrior.

Talk about laughing your ass off it actually happened to me while I read this. I was laughing and getting hot and bothered at the same time. Sherrilyn Kenyon has given new meaning to doing everything except sex. We go to the shower NAKED. We pared around the house NAKED we read books to each other NAKED!! And still nothing. There were times, when I was going yes, yes, that’s it! And then GAH nothing. It was sexually quite frustrating.

I have never read Greek mythology and have a very little knowledge about them. As far as my knowledge goes it is limited to TV series and the cartoons. So even if there were any false information about Greek gods I would not know. So that being said, the Greek gods are absolutely hilarious and cruel at the same time. Eros aka cupid, is married to Psyche, and they are a biker couple!! I almost peed my pants.

Priapus Julian’s brother the evil one. They have some serious issues. Sibling rivalry!

Grace and Julian’s horniness is above and beyond that kept my toes curling in every five minutes. Grace’s determination to break Julian’s curse was incredible. There were times when I was sure they would give into temptation.

From the beginning to the end I was hooked to this book. The story line, plot progress everything about this book was absolutely amazing. I would love to re read this book.

    On My Wishlist (#1)

On My Wishlist is a fun weekly event hosted by Book Chick City and runs every Saturday.
Tis my first time in this event. :D

There are allot of book I want to read. Mostly these following three ,Tte covers and the summary are sooo good!

Fire Burn & Cauldron Bubble by H.P. Mallory

A self-deprecating witch with the unique ability to reanimate the dead. A dangerously handsome warlock torn between being her boss and her would-be lover. A six hundred year old English vampire with his own agenda; one that includes an appetite for witches. The Underworld in a state of chaos. Let the games begin.

Life isn’t bad for psychic Jolie Wilkins. True, she doesn’t have a love life to speak of, but she has a cute house in the suburbs of Los Angeles, a cat and a quirky best friend.

Enter Rand Balfour, a sinfully attractive warlock who insists she’s a witch and who just might turn her life upside down. Rand hires her to help him solve a mystery regarding the death of his client who also happens to be a ghost. Jolie not only uncovers the cause of the ghost’s demise but, in the process, she brings him back to life!

Word of Jolie’s incredible ability to bring back the dead spreads like wildfire, putting her at the top of the Underworld’s most wanted list. Consequently, she finds herself at the center of a custody battle between a villainous witch, a dangerous but oh-so-sexy vampire, and her warlock boss, Rand.

Mermaid: A Twist on the Classic Tale by Carolyn Turgeon

The story of two very different women, one mortal, one mermaid, and the clash between worlds best kept apart... It is a cold day at the end of the world when a young woman, a princess in hiding, looks out across a Northern sea and sees something she could not have seen. It looks...it can't be. It looks like a mermaid's tail. And, as she looks more closely, she sees that the mermaid is dragging a drowning sailor in her arms. Because, only hours before, another princess, the daughter of the sea queen, has decided to risk everything and take a look at the world above the sea: the world of mortals. And there she finds a storm, a shipwreck, a sailor, and sets in train events which will change both women's worlds for ever.

    Timeless by Alexandra Monir

REVIEW: Seers of Light by Jennifer DeLucy

    Genre:Romance, Religion & Spirituality, Paranormal
Publisher: Omnific Publishing; 1st edition (February 16, 2010)
    Kindle Edition
    Purchased from Amazon

    Book Synopsis- (Goodreads)

Lillian Hunt has never truly lived. Always sensing more to the world than is easily perceived, she fears that her instincts are stubborn flights of fancy, or worse, mental instability. But some things—disappearing strangers, tangible dreams, and visits from malevolent creatures—cannot be ignored. Before it's too late, Lillian is ripped from the only existence she’s ever known and thrust into a reality that she always suspected, but could scarcely believe. She must learn the truth about who she is, the powerful beings that wish to destroy her, and the two men who would die to protect her.

Jennifer DeLucy has created a unique, enchanting tale of destiny and the ageless power of love in her debut novel, Seers of Light. DeLucy's novel charms readers with quirky characters, while sketching a haunting portrait of one woman's journey on the path of the supernaturally gifted. But be prepared. Once you've entered the world of Seers, you will never be the same.

Favorite quote from Seers of Light
From the beginning, the only thing I couldn’t tolerate about you was how impossible you were to ignore.
    My Review

    First WOW!
I was very surprised by this book. I definitely did not expect something so different, which is good. I wouldn’t mind a reread.
Lillian Hunt a Sentient who is introduced to the supernatural world and her true self in a rather unfashionably manor. She takes it in pretty well, in my honest opinion. And, when I read next time I’ll remember NOT to read it at dark. I was a bit scared in the beginning. Then as the story progressed I got use to this new paranormal world and felt a little less nervous.
This is a different paranormal world then most of my reads, here the story is mostly based on Sentient and their soul.
Lillian’s character was very well defined and very strong. She was always persistent on not being babysat while other did the hard work.
As she was attacked by a Vampire, she hated those creatures. Lily’s development of powers throughout the book is impeccable. They start to develop with the help of William Maddox, another Sentient, and there is something odd about him which Lillian loathed.
But of course his manners his personality and his soul, wins her heart. And their love is sweet, genuine that you couldn’t help but feel drawn to them.
And then there was Christian, who had very much the hero potential. I was pretty sure by the end of the book they would be together, but alas that did not happen!
Their outcome of the battle of the vampires and Sentients at the end was heart wrenching.

Jennifer DeLucy wrote a powerful, romantic, and enjoyable story. The emotional aspects that made this story more appealing for me. As that being said, I cannot wait to start ‘Whisper Of Light’

Now when I was lurking through GR, I found a very interesting article by Ms. DeLucy. You can find it here.
So when I saw who she pictured as Lily and William. I had to share.
