Book Synopsis from goodreads
In the darkest corners of the night in Caldwell, New York, a conflict like no other rages. The city is home to a band of brothers born to defend their race: the warrior vampires of the Black Dagger Brotherhood.

Now back in the Brotherhood - and unrecognisable as the vampire leader he once was - Tohrment is physically emaciated and heartbroken beyond despair. When he begins to see his beloved in his dreams - trapped in a cold, isolating netherworld - Tohr turns to a self-serving fallen angel in hopes of saving the one he has lost. When he's told he must learn to love another to free his former mate, Tohr knows they are all doomed . . .

Except then a female with a shadowed history begins to get through to him. Against the backdrop of the raging war with the lessers, and with a new clan of vampires vying for the Blind King's throne, Tohr struggles between the buried past, and a very hot, passion-filled future . . . but can his heart let go and set all of them free?
My Thoughts

I wanted to try a really elaborated review, but let's stick to simple one. I liked it, not over the top but just in the lines of okay story.

Lover Reborn continues the series with Thorment and No'One. I am happy for Tohr, he deserves his happy ending. After reading about Tohr's and the angst that follows in practically all BDB books I couldn't help but fall in love with the vampire. However I laughed out loud every time I read the name No'One. Just imagine how many great jokes it would make if Tohr tried to introduce her to someone, 'Meet my Shellan  No'one.' Yeah I just couldn't resist. But I am happy that she finally had a name.

This book had so many other mini stories that it was hard to keep up at times. Specially with the huge amount of Xhex and John. Didn't they already have a book?

Layla, I feel really sorry for the girl. She is just a blood bag to everyone. That's the saddest part but after this book the blood bag thing might finally change, so I am keeping my fingers crossed for the chosen.

Qhuinn and Blay... there is not enough space for me to describe how I feel about them. So let's just say when I saw this

I was screaming like five year old and then crying like a love sick teenager.

Ward is actually giving them a novel? I wasn't expecting that but after reading this lines I was ready for a short story.
As Blay started to straighten, like a message had been received, Qhuinn thought,
That’s right, buddy. Our future has come.
Oh Miss Ward, you are a complete tease. Which also means the Black Dagger Brotherhood series continues.
And I can not wait to read book #11 when I can find out who bottoms or who tops... or both (pun intended) lol

Synopsis from goodreads
Twins Sera and Luke Raine have a well-kept secret—she heals with a touch of her hand, he sees the future. All their lives they’ve helped those in need on the sly. They’ve always thought of their abilities as being a gift.

Then Luke has a vision that Sera is killed. That gift they’ve always cherished begins to feel an awful lot like a curse. Because the thing about Luke’s ability? He’s always right. And he can’t do anything about it.
My Thoughts

The book starts off with a heavy kick and leads down to an interesting end. I really loved some bits, but some I had hard time connecting to. Other than that the story was good.

Luke and Sera are twins with supernatural power, along the way we meet many other creatures from the supernatural world from Fey's to mind-reader and vampires. With a bit of romance on the story it was a great read. Luke is a seer while Sera has the power of healing others from just a touch. They make a kick ass team of siblings. The story is based on the siblings, family bonding so we there is a very little room to develop your typical YA romance. But I loved the bits development between Sera and Marc.

Kudos to J. Meyers for creating such a fascinating world filled with mythical creatures with supernatural powers.

I love Leif Helgarson, Viking Vampire, Esq. I have to say that combo makes a pretty cool attorney. If you could have a paranormal/mythical beastie (or combo) covering your tuckus in court, what would you choose and why?
My bestie is a lawyer, and sadly not a mythical creature (even though she believes she might be a pixie in her previous life) can cover my tuckus in any court. She is AWESOME at bull-shitting and getting out of practically any situation. Be that with the family, or friends or strangers.
by jeftoon01
Yeah, bestie is all kindda bad ass pixie!
The police show up to question Atticus about his Irish Wolfhound, Oberon. If you could own any dog breed, what would it be and why? (P.S. Oberon is going on my list of favorite sidekicks!)
I didn't start to like Oberon until I got to second week. And the more I read, I can't help but love the Irish Wolfhound.

I am extremely scared of dogs, cats... anything with sharp claws or teeth after a very unfortunate event. That's why I have fishes for pets now.
Malina Sokolowski and the other Sisters of the Three Auroras coven have my antennae up. What is your opinion of them?
They are witches! And as far as I am concern they do not look like they went to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry or Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. So no, witch without a witchcraft certified degree is not trust worthy ;)

Brighid, goddess of poetry, fire and the forge, gave Atticus the power of Cold Fire, which can be used to fight off that nasty lilttle hellspawn. If you could wield one magical power, what would it be and why?
I would like to have the power to jump from one place to the other. I am feeling the need of this power more and more everyday as I have to seat through hours of traffic jam before I can reach anywhere.
The cops show up at Atticus’ shop to search for poor Oberon, who remains magically hidden throughout the ordeal. What is the one thing you would do if you could remain hidden from sight? I want to hear some good answers for this one!
This thing would really come handy in the exam hall, in the line to pay my bills, and so many things! Let's not go to the perverted side of my mind.

That's it for the third week. See you all next time :)

Synopsis for goodreads:
How far would you go to protect the ones you love?

What would you sacrifice to kill the one you hate?

Join Giovanni Vecchio and Beatrice De Novo as they travel to a hidden island on the far edge of China to seek the help of an ancient immortal court. Can they weave their way through the tangled web of centuries-old alliances and ruthless feuds to find what they’ve been looking for? Friends will be revealed, enemies will find them, and a dangerous secret will come to light.

The third book in the Elemental Mysteries series will see Giovanni and Beatrice joined by a group of unlikely allies as they explore the history and myth of the far East. Many have been stolen, but only one holds the key.

The Force of Wind is the third book in the four-part Elemental Mysteries series. It is the sequel to This Same Earth and is a paranormal mystery/romance for adult readers.
My thoughts:

The Force Of Wind is the third book of Elemental Mysteries series. Having read the previous two books my expectation was way high for this one, and I can only say this so many times but I absolutely loved it!

Force Of Wind reveals more about the vampire wold's higher power, government of sort. How vampires are created, how they are send off to the world among other things. Giovanni and Beatrice spends most of the book with the elders, with Beatrice learning more about the elders. I don't want to spoil away anything but the amount of changes going on in this book was mind boggling. I really did not see some of theses things coming.

The ending however left me a sobbing mess. How could you do this to me E! *sobs some more*

At the end, this was an amazing story with the right amount of everything. If you are looking for something different in the paranormal stuff, I would recommend Elemental Mysteries series in a heart beat.

My Book Boyfriend: Rehvenge aka The Reverend

MBB is an weekly meme hosted every Wednesday by Missie at The Unread Reader

Today my book boyfriend is Rehvenge from J.R. Wards Black Dagger Brotherhood.
by Anyae & AnneAtkinson
Rehvenge, Son of Rempoon. Rehvenge is half symphath, and owner of a local club called ZeroSum. He is also a member of the vampire aristocracy and the "Princeps Leahdyre" of its council. He hides the fact that he is half "symphath" even from his own sister, Bella. His story is told in Lover Avenged. He is also known as The Reverend. The Reverend is also known for his barb, if you know what I mean. And his famous Mohawk.

“Rehvenge?”

“Yes.”

“Take my vein.”

She could tell she’d shocked the shit out of him by the way his breath caught. “Excuse…Whwhat?”

She had to smile, thinking that he wasn’t the kind of male who stuttered much. “Take my vein.

Let me give you something.”

Through his parted lips she saw his fangs elongate, not so much inching as punching out of his skull.

“I’m not sure…whether that would be…” As his breath grew ragged, his voice got even deeper.

She put her hand to her neck and massaged her jugular slowly. “I think it’s a great idea.” As his eyes glowed purple, she eased onto her back and cocked her head to the side, exposing her throat.

“Ehlena…”
What this scene follows was just BAM. Blows your mind.

“Looks like I’m spending my future with you,” she said against his mouth.

He shuddered, as if he were letting his last doubts go. “I don’t deserve you.”

“Yes, you do.”

“I’m going to take care of you.”

“I know.”

“And like I said, I’m not going back to what I did before here in town.”

“Good.” He paused, as if he wanted to reassure her even more and was searching for words.

“Stop talking and kiss me again. My heart’s made up and so is my mind, and there’s nothing more you need to tell me. I know who you are. You’re my hellren.”
And there is a happy ending. That's why I partly love reading about the brotherhood.

Rehvenge is played by Marco da Silva. Google him, I promise it's not easy finding one picture of him with his pants on. Not that I am complaining ;)

You MUST watch this video. It's just... UNF

I started bringing all the Black Dagger Brotherhood as my boyfriends  because the last book Lover Reborn is coming out this month on 27th. So far I have introduced everyone to Wrath the blind king , Rhage , Zsadist , Butch O'Neal , Vishous & Phury. Now that I have revealed my seventh boyfriend from the brotherhood, I have only five more left to introduce! Hope everyone enjoys all these man candy that's called the Black Dagger Brotherhood :)

Kiss Me, I'm Irish read-along: Chapters 6-10

Discussion chapter 1-5
Discussion chapter 6-10
In Chapter 6, Atticus goes hunting with Oberon and Flidais. What was supposed to be a fun hunting trip turned rather disastrous. Were you expecting something like this to happen or did it catch you by surprise? Have you ever had something that should have been fun turn disastrous or nearly disastrous?
I didn't like Flidais from the beginning, so it wasn't a surprise when everything went haywire.

Too many things went disastrous. Every time there is a family outing the car will ALWAYS break down in the middle of the road. At least now we can get the car fixed, hubs has some car knowledge after all ;)
We are only briefly introduced to the witches (or, a witch) in chapter 7. What are your first impressions? How much would you trust the witches? Why?
The witch sounds okay, with a college student appearance. But as Atticus suspects you can never tell from the appearance how old or evil or good she might be, I am not ready to trust her just yet.

There only few witches I will trust. One, Minerva McGonagall and second Hermione Granger. Yeah I am sort of a Harry Potter geek :D

Oberon says, “With dogs you just go up and smell their asses and you know where you stand. It’s so much easier. Why can’t humans do that?” Do you ever wish there was an easier way to find out where you stand with someone (besides Oberon’s suggestion, of course)? In what cases would it be easier or better to hide your true feelings?
I think we all face theses sort of situation in our life, there is always someone that makes things difficult. But I wish there was some way to find out where you stand with the person without being too obvious about it. I am pretty shy person, so I just pretty much avoid 0~0
Chapter 9 makes Atticus’ life much more difficult: the witches are in some way working with Aeghus Og, Bres comes after Atticus, and more trouble appears at the end of the chapter. Have you made sense of what has happened thus far? Any predictions for what might happen?
Everyone seem to be after Atticus, so at this point it's better not to trust anyone, that's the only thing I am getting out of this.

My prediction? *scratches head* I am BAD at predicting stuff. When I do sometimes they fit but most of the time just blah. I say Atticus ends up battling with Aeghus with the sword. I'm just sayin.
Atticus has had plenty of time to cultivate attitudes and ethics that would allow him to live a very long time. What do you think it is about Atticus that has allowed him to live for as long as he has?
With all these binding he has around him, it's pretty hard to get to him. He moves around allot, not spending too much time in one place. Have Oberon, also I want to add Morrigan but I am not sure yet where she stands with Atticus. But at the end, Atticus is pretty smart he has been avoiding Aeghus for centuries, thinks with his head when faced with a Goddess. But dude if you keep that up Aeghus will have your head, so sometimes it's better to think with the actual head... why does it still sound wrong in my head?

End of discussion 6-10

Can someone please tell me if there is real romantic interest for Atticus with anyone?

I have been following Miss Hunter's Elemental Mysteries series for a while now, and when I saw the Elemental Mysteries blog tour, I just had to be a part of it. Check out all the awesome bloggers who are participating in this tour. I would be posting an excerpt from The Force Of Wind (Elemental Mysteries #3).

“Who are the lion and the dragon?”

He pulled back. “What?”

“Elder He, the other fire vampire?”

“Yes?”

“She said, ‘Who is this human who’s protected by the lion and the dragon?’ Was she talking about you and Baojia?”

Giovanni chuckled. “Yes, she’s quite dramatic, isn’t she? She always has been.”

“So, are you the dragon?” Beatrice teased, pulling at the back of his shirt as she walked backward toward the silk-covered bed beyond the arched doorway. “The dragon that breathes fire?”

He bent down and hitched up her legs around his waist, carrying her toward the bed and laying her on the red pillows. “We’re in China, the dragon is a water symbol here.”

“Oh?” she asked as his warm hands stroked along her waist. “So you’re the lion? Why are you the lion?”

“I’m from the West, and the lion is a symbol of the sun,” he said as he laid gentle kisses along her collar. “The sun is the mother of fire.”

“But…” She sighed as she felt the quick lick of amnis wherever his lips touched. Her heart began to race. “That seems kind of cruel. You can’t go out in the sun.”

He only smiled, and she could see the length of his fangs gleaming in the low light of the candles that lit the room.

“Tesoro mio, the lion may be a symbol of the sun…” He bent down, lifted her body toward his, and gave one long, slow lick from her collar bone to her ear. “But he hunts at night.”
Yes indeed... he does hunt at night ;)

Kiss Me, I'm Irish read-along: Chapters 1-5

Hosted by Felicia - Geeky Blogger's Book Blog, Amanda - On A Book Bender, Ash - Smash Attack!, Jen - In The Closet With A Bibliophile and Missie - The Unread Reader

Officially started reading the book last night. Hola to all my turtle and rabbit buddies and thank you for joining in Hounded read-along.
Let's start your engines and read, set gooooooo in turtle speed :)
Kevin Hearne had the most perfect beginning for this book:  "There are many perks to living for twenty-one centuries, and formost among them is bearing witness to the rare birth of genius."  If you were to live for centuries what do you think you would be excited to see?
Scratches head... time machine I guess? Yeah, that's probably the one and only thing which can will hold my attention the most, and it's very likely that I might end up hogging that thing for myself. So I can go back in time in case I missed meeting someone.
In the 2nd chapter we learn about the amulet and its protection powers!  Do you think having met the Morrigan and heard about Aenghus Og that it will be enough to protect Atticus?  I mean the Morrigan has a point about hot chicks coming after him and his defenses might be down! He is very male!
I highly doubt that. There won't be any story if he is all safe, right? I have not come to the part where 'he is very male' actually means here. Maybe when I go ahead and read further!
The literary world's coolest dog is introduced in this chapter!  Did you love Oberon immediately?  Show me a picture or describe the type of animal you would love to have as a talking companion! (Cat, Dog, Mouse, Sloth, Horse---what is your pick--pictures please)?
I will be honest, I did not feel anything for Oberon :( I am hoping that might change. I really do.

As for talking companions.. cat, definitely a cat. And has Antonio Banderas's voice :)

In this chapter Flidais asked Atticus what his name is and then precedes to ask if anyone actually believes he is Greek?  He says nobody pays attention to names here.  Do you know what your name means and where it comes from?  Or do you have a name you wish had?  Let's talk names!
My name, Jannat Ara Prangon means the land of heaven. It's a mixture Arabian and Bangla literature. It's a tongue tying name which only a few people can pronounce, and sadly I am not one of them.

Oh yes, I had hit a phase around the time when I was in 6th or 7th grade and I used to doodle my name as Aria. That has been an embarrassing experience, let's not go there O_o
We learn about Atticus' lawyers in this chapter, a rather unique combo!  Without jumping ahead, would you hire a lawyer combination of two supernaturals who on the surface would appear to be natural enemies or at the very least two very Alpha attitudes? What would be the positives and negatives of that decision.
Most definitely. A duo of werewolf and a vampire as lawyers by my side any legal threats that might accrue is sure to get shredded between those two. So there isn't really any negative side of having two supernatural layers by my side ;)
