<div style="text-align: justify;">
How do you rid the Earth of seven billion humans? Rid the humans of their humanity.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Surviving the first four waves was nearly impossible. Now Cassie Sullivan finds herself in a new world, a world in which the fundamental trust that binds us together is gone. As the 5th Wave rolls across the landscape, Cassie, Ben, and Ringer are forced to confront the Others’ ultimate goal: the extermination of the human race.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Cassie and her friends haven’t seen the depths to which the Others will sink, nor have the Others seen the heights to which humanity will rise, in the ultimate battle between life and death, hope and despair, love and hate. </div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>My Thoughts (SPOILERS AHEAD)</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Since I finished the first installment in the 5th wave series (<a href="http://thenerdinheels.blogspot.com/2015/09/review-5th-wave-by-rick-yancey.html" target="_blank">review</a>) I had to read the second one ASAP. This book felt more like filler than an actual story. The book picks up a few days later of where The 5th Wave left off. This book concentrated mainly around the transformation of Ringer and fill out a lot of holes while there are still many left to be answered. We get the vague idea about the alien infestation however many questions are still unanswered. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The POV changes was within three characters, Ringer, Cassie and Evan. Cassie and Evan deals with world outside of camp haven however not in long term length. While Ringer counts her days in another 'camp haven'. Cassie and Evans storyline takes a backseat while we see the process of Ringer taking on a new environment all together. Through this change in Ringer we get some explanation which also leaves a whole lot of unanswered questions. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The third book supposedly clears everything out, which will be released next year. Between the two released books this was not that appealing to me but I shall wait for the third book to have a final opinion about the series. </div>

<i>After the 1st wave, only darkness remains. After the 2nd, only the lucky escape. And after the 3rd, only the unlucky survive. After the 4th wave, only one rule applies: trust no one.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i>Now, it’s the dawn of the 5th wave, and on a lonely stretch of highway, Cassie runs from Them. The beings who only look human, who roam the countryside killing anyone they see. Who have scattered Earth’s last survivors. To stay alone is to stay alive, Cassie believes, until she meets Evan Walker.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i>Beguiling and mysterious, Evan Walker may be Cassie’s only hope for rescuing her brother—or even saving herself. But Cassie must choose: between trust and despair, between defiance and surrender, between life and death. To give up or to get up. </i></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>My Thoughts (SPOILERS AHEAD)</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
My thoughts are are rather all over the place, let me gather them while I rant about how I missed reading books and blogging about them! I missed it so much! I feel like I am out of the loop on books, new releases, and mostly my blogger buddies. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
As for the book, I started reading it after I saw the movie trailer (I will link the trailer below). The trailer was great, so when I saw it was based on a book I had to read it. The story changes point of view between the lead characters Cassie and Ben. I had a bit of trouble at the beginning keeping up with the changes of POV and flashback. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Lets talk about the characters, Cassie is a normal sixteen year old trying to survive the alien infested world while still crushing on boy(s). I have come to terms with the fact that attraction is fatal, you can not help whom you like. Specially when you are a sixteen year old girl. She still was level headed and and very brave. And to tell the truth she is one from the many female characters that I love and adore that did not piss me off. She made great life choices. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Ben AKA Zombie, I liked him. He too was a very 'teen' boy caught in the middle of his own angst and alien infested war yet still trying to make it in the world. He acts like a protector due to the circumstances he faced. He is the hero every young adult book is made of. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
And of course I can not stress enough how much Evan Walker made an impact with his Edward Cullen characteristics. SPOILER ALERT he is one of the different species and an good egg. In spite the stalkerish behavior he still makes you melt with his cuteness. Evan made me had mixed feelings. So I will love a to read some of his POV in the future books. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Overall I loved the story, I feel a kinship to the characters, I can not wait till I read more. So I already got the second book and I am looking forward to start reading it tonight. </div>

<i>Amy and Elder have finally left the oppressive walls of the spaceship Godspeed behind. They're ready to start life afresh--to build a home--on Centauri-Earth, the planet that Amy has traveled 25 trillion miles across the universe to experience.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">

<b>My Thoughts </b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Well done! This was an amazing read. Beth Revis did this series justice by putting together an well written world as she ended it.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Shades of earth picks up from where they left off. With Elder and Amy taking the shipborns along with the earthborns to the new world. The twist and turn of this new world had everyone worried for their life. Plot wise A+ work. Specially because this book tied all the lose ends. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
There might be a few triggers that might not suit everyone. Other than that Shades of Earth is definitely a step up from the previous two book. If you are a sci-fi fan Across The Universe is definitely one that needs to be checked out. </div>

Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace's world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know. . . . </div>

<b>Review *SPOILERS AHEAD*</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
City of Bones creates a different sort of world entirely, introducing all kinds of creatures and hunters giving the reader another world of possibility from the author. I liked the world Miss Clare created in her Mortal Instruments series. Learning about this creatures and the hunters was well... educational. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
When I read a book, ANY book what attracts me to it is the romance and no matter what sort of fantasy world there is suppose to be one. HOWEVER I detest love triangles with a passion. Specially if it involves the best friend. Frankly no one can live up to the best friend quality, they know you in your high and tide so if I see best friend is going to have a broken heart due to this so called 'love triangle' I run. So no I stuck with the book till the end. I liked Jace but I loved Simon. Am I being bias because Robert Sheehan is playing the role of Simon Lewis in the movie? </div>

Yes. Absolutely.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
End verdict, while I liked the world the romance thingie, didn't do a thing for me. I never though I would actually say this in review though. All my jumble aside, I'll probably continue reading this series just not right away.</div>

<b>My Thoughts</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Let's just start with I WANT THE NEXT ONE GIMME GIMME!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
You know the feeling when you read something amazing and want more but alas the next installment doesn't come out any time soon? Yeah this was one of those reads for me. That's why I like reading my series when they are all finished. I don't have to agonizing months and then forget why I liked the previous book in the first place. Probably noticed not a fan of re-reading my already read shelf unless it's a cupcake book. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So all things aside specially the fact of me not getting my fat grubby hands on the next book, this was excellent. Again the book cover, it's always been a put off for me and no Zombies did not look like that from what I gathered. So yeah if you are a fan of Zombies, this is a must read. Put it on your TBR along with it's previous book. </div>

<div style="text-align: right;">
<i style="text-align: justify;">Iced by Karen Marie Moning</i></div>
<div style="text-align: right;">
<b>Series</b>: Dani O'Malley #1 (Fever #6)</div>
<div style="text-align: right;">
<b>Genre</b>: Fantasy</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Synopsis</b>:</div>
<blockquote style="-moz-border-radius-bottomleft: 15px; -moz-border-radius-topleft: 15px; -moz-border-radius-topright: 15px; -webkit-border-bottom-left-radius: 15px; -webkit-border-top-left-radius: 15px; -webkit-border-top-right-radius: 8px; background-color: #e0d3e6; border: 2px solid #bc9ec9; color: black; margin: 1em 40px; padding: 15px;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><span style="font-size: large;">T</span>he year is 1 AWC—After the Wall Crash. The Fae are free and hunting us. It’s a war zone out there, and no two days are alike. I’m Dani O’Malley, the chaos-filled streets of Dublin are my home, and there’s no place I’d rather be. </i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i>Dani “Mega” O’Malley plays by her own set of rules—and in a world overrun by Dark Fae, her biggest rule is: Do what it takes to survive. Possessing rare talents and the all-powerful Sword of Light, Dani is more than equipped for the task. In fact, she’s one of the rare humans who can defend themselves against the Unseelie. But now, amid the pandemonium, her greatest gifts have turned into serious liabilities.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i>Dani’s ex–best friend, MacKayla Lane, wants her dead, the terrifying Unseelie princes have put a price on her head, and Inspector Jayne, the head of the police force, is after her sword and will stop at nothing to get it. What’s more, people are being mysteriously frozen to death all over the city, encased on the spot in sub-zero, icy tableaux. </i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i>When Dublin’s most seductive nightclub gets blanketed in hoarfrost, Dani finds herself at the mercy of Ryodan, the club’s ruthless, immortal owner. He needs her quick wit and exceptional skill to figure out what’s freezing Fae and humans dead in their tracks—and Ryodan will do anything to ensure her compliance.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i>Dodging bullets, fangs, and fists, Dani must strike treacherous bargains and make desperate alliances to save her beloved Dublin—before everything and everyone in it gets iced.</i></div>
</blockquote>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>My thoughts:</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
First and foremost, what the ever loving freck? That was some serious mind fuck right there!!!!!!!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Now that excessive exclamation marks are out of the way, I am a Fever fan. Through it's high and low and no matter how much I wanted to throw the previous book(s) in the gutter I am a fan. So yes when I saw the book continuous, not with Mac and Barrons but with Dani, Ryodan and Christian I was ecstatic. You can count on KMM to bring on more of the Fever world, what I didn't thought was Dani being fourteen. Well I am okay she is fourteen, lots of people in the world are fourteen, my youngest is fourteen so yeah completely fine. Dani kicking ass being the teenage superhero she thinks she is. Great stuff. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Dani surrounded by two <strike>pedophiles perverts</strike> grown men who fancies her and make her their future whatever, okay I am still on board dude not jumping off the ship yet because of Dani of course. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.gophoto.it/view.php?i=http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vVN62wdV_zw/TWJN2yznk5I/AAAAAAAAAh8/CiwOLbuMIKg/s1600/tumblr_lg4s6jsUTB1qdwlug.png" imageanchor="1" style="background-color: white; color: #f6b26b; font-family: 'Times New Roman', Times, FreeSerif, serif; font-size: 18px; line-height: 25px; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="260" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vVN62wdV_zw/TWJN2yznk5I/AAAAAAAAAh8/CiwOLbuMIKg/s320/tumblr_lg4s6jsUTB1qdwlug.png" style="-webkit-box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2) 0px 0px 0px; background-color: transparent; border-bottom-left-radius: 0px; border-bottom-right-radius: 0px; border-top-left-radius: 0px; border-top-right-radius: 0px; border: 1px solid transparent; box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2) 0px 0px 0px; padding: 8px; position: relative;" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Dani constantly puts things in prospective for me by pointing out how anciently old both dudes are. So yes lets say this KMM sure knows how to rile up the fans with her stories. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Ryodan, you used to be so cool. Christian, you too baby, you and your-dick-of-death is no cool no more. Jo, there shall always be groupies. Kat, meh. Dani, you are totally the shit and Dancer, NERDY GLASSES WEARING TALL GUY WITH SUPERBRAIN AND HOTNESS AND HOW IS THERE NOT MORE OF YOU? </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So yeah the story might have <strike>pedophile perverted thoughts</strike> inappropriate thoughts among the too sexy dudes but if you are a fan of Karen Marie Morning's writing and the fever series give this a go but I highly recommend that you wait till all three books come out before starting on them. </div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>My Thoughts: </b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I love the world of Elemental Mysteries Elizabeth Hunter has created so it's only fair to say when I found out about the new series of Elemental World I just had to have it. Miss Hunter was very nice and sent me one of the arc's, <strike>it might have been because I had begged and poked till she gave in</strike>.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Carwyn is such an old vampire with the elemental power of earth and very very different from Giovanni but charming nonetheless even though he prefers Hawaiian shirts and watching wrestling marathon with Gio just makes him more amazing. Brigid is different from any other character I have met so far, I have to admit it took me a bit to warmed up to her but I got there. She has had a damaged childhood and a very tough life and she has grown the most in this story among all the characters. I didn't know how this would play out Carwyn being such an 'experienced'<i> for a lack of better words,</i> vampire and Brigid being in her twenties I really hoped I wouldn't cringe. So kudos to Miss Hunter for making this so believable with her writing.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Building From Ashes is definitely worth reading if you are looking for a new urban fantasy to sneak in your reading, but without reading the Elemental Mysteries first there might references that would be hard to catch on to.</div>

You can also win E's latest book Building From Ashes, just follow the instruction at the end of the post.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I have <i><a href="http://elizabethhunterwrites.com/" target="_blank">Elizabeth Hunter</a></i> with me today, the author of the Elemental Mysteries Series and many more. </div>
<blockquote style="background-color: #e0d3e6; border-bottom-left-radius: 15px; border-top-left-radius: 15px; border-top-right-radius: 8px; border: 2px solid rgb(188, 158, 201); margin: 1em 40px; padding: 15px; text-align: justify;">
<i>So first I would like to ask, how did you get into writing?</i></blockquote>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I was a technical writer for years, writing things like manuals and sales proposals, but then I started writing a little fan fiction for fun. And it was that experience that showed me how fulfilling creative writing could be. I started my own stories and just never stopped.</div>
<blockquote style="background-color: #e0d3e6; border-bottom-left-radius: 15px; border-top-left-radius: 15px; border-top-right-radius: 8px; border: 2px solid rgb(188, 158, 201); margin: 1em 40px; padding: 15px; text-align: justify;">
<i>What inspired you to write The Elemental Series?</i></blockquote>
I love paranormal fiction. Have loved it for years. I was thinking one day about what I would do if I had eternity to live. I’m a total bookworm, so I figured I would just read a lot! From that idea sprung the idea of Giovanni Vecchio, an immortal whose life revolved around books. And the series really grew from that.<br />
<blockquote style="background-color: #e0d3e6; border-bottom-left-radius: 15px; border-top-left-radius: 15px; border-top-right-radius: 8px; border: 2px solid rgb(188, 158, 201); margin: 1em 40px; padding: 15px; text-align: justify;">
<i>What was the hardest part to write in this series?</i></blockquote>
I think endings are always hard to write. Each book has been difficult to end, but particularly A Fall of Water, because it was the end of Gio and Beatrice’s story arc. It was the right time to say goodbye to them, but it was difficult.<br />
<blockquote style="background-color: #e0d3e6; border-bottom-left-radius: 15px; border-top-left-radius: 15px; border-top-right-radius: 8px; border: 2px solid rgb(188, 158, 201); margin: 1em 40px; padding: 15px; text-align: justify;">
<i>What are your favorite parts of the books you loved writing?</i></blockquote>
I love dialogue. Particularly flirting. I love banter and humor. Those parts are some of the most fun to write for me. I start to twitch if I see too much narration on the page with no one talking.<br />
<blockquote style="background-color: #e0d3e6; border-bottom-left-radius: 15px; border-top-left-radius: 15px; border-top-right-radius: 8px; border: 2px solid rgb(188, 158, 201); margin: 1em 40px; padding: 15px; text-align: justify;">
<i>If you weren’t an author, what do you think you would be doing instead? </i></blockquote>
Probably, like Beatrice, I would be a librarian. Information science and research are passions for me. I’m a very curious person.<br />
<blockquote style="background-color: #e0d3e6; border-bottom-left-radius: 15px; border-top-left-radius: 15px; border-top-right-radius: 8px; border: 2px solid rgb(188, 158, 201); margin: 1em 40px; padding: 15px; text-align: justify;">
<i>Over one year you have written and published five books now, how do you do it?</i></blockquote>
I don’t sleep much! I also think it helps that I’m very organized about how I work. I always outline a project completely before I start. For me, this helps to keep me very focused when I actually sit down to write. While the writing of my last four books took a little over a year, the planning and prewriting took longer.<br />
<blockquote style="background-color: #e0d3e6; border-bottom-left-radius: 15px; border-top-left-radius: 15px; border-top-right-radius: 8px; border: 2px solid rgb(188, 158, 201); margin: 1em 40px; padding: 15px; text-align: justify;">
<i>You wrote both paranormal and contemporary, which did you like writing more?</i></blockquote>
I like both, but paranormal and fantasy will always be my first love.<br />
<blockquote style="background-color: #e0d3e6; border-bottom-left-radius: 15px; border-top-left-radius: 15px; border-top-right-radius: 8px; border: 2px solid rgb(188, 158, 201); margin: 1em 40px; padding: 15px; text-align: justify;">
<i>Who are your biggest supporters?</i></blockquote>
My readers! I have amazing, brilliant readers. I also have a crazy, diverse family who are amazing and very supportive and a wonderful group of friends who are writers.<br />
<blockquote style="background-color: #e0d3e6; border-bottom-left-radius: 15px; border-top-left-radius: 15px; border-top-right-radius: 8px; border: 2px solid rgb(188, 158, 201); margin: 1em 40px; padding: 15px; text-align: justify;">
<i>If you had the chance to have a date with ANY character from your book, who would it be and why?</i></blockquote>
Carwyn, probably. I like to laugh and he’d be a fun date, don’t you think? I like beer, wrestling, and motorcycles, so I think he’d go for it. ;)<br />
<blockquote style="background-color: #e0d3e6; border-bottom-left-radius: 15px; border-top-left-radius: 15px; border-top-right-radius: 8px; border: 2px solid rgb(188, 158, 201); margin: 1em 40px; padding: 15px; text-align: justify;">
<i>Just one more before we go to the quickies, any plans for starting another series in the near future?</i></blockquote>
I am working on a shapeshifter series right now! I’m about 3/4 of the way finished with the first book and have already published a short story prequel called Long Ride Home: A Cambio Springs Short Story, which is available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. It’s a different setting and feel from the Elemental Mysteries, which is fun, but deals with some of the same themes about love, family, and friendship that all of my books do.<br />
<br />
<span style="background-color: white; text-align: justify;">Now time for some quickie fun questions</span><br />
<blockquote style="background-color: #e0d3e6; border-bottom-left-radius: 15px; border-top-left-radius: 15px; border-top-right-radius: 8px; border: 2px solid rgb(188, 158, 201); margin: 1em 40px; padding: 15px; text-align: justify;">
<i>Writing or Reading? </i></blockquote>
Tough one, but writing. If I had a whole day to myself, I’d write before I’d read. I love my job.<br />
<blockquote style="background-color: #e0d3e6; border-bottom-left-radius: 15px; border-top-left-radius: 15px; border-top-right-radius: 8px; border: 2px solid rgb(188, 158, 201); margin: 1em 40px; padding: 15px; text-align: justify;">
<i>Favorite Actor? </i></blockquote>
Oooooh, probably Michael Fassbender. He’s very talented and has such a presence on screen. (And yes, incredibly handsome.)<br />
<br />
<i>Prangon here pops in to spam with Michael Fassbender yummies</i><br />

<i>Building From Ashes (Elemental World #1)</i><br />

<i>For a thousand years, powerful earth vampire Carwyn ap Bryn has served others. God. His family. His friends. But tragedy and loss disrupt his peaceful existence, causing him to question everything he has committed his eternity to.<br /><br />Brigid Connor has known about vampires since they rescued her from a painful childhood. But not even their vast elemental power can save her from the demons that torment her.<br /><br />As loyalties are tested and new paths are forged, a lurking danger slowly grows in the Elemental World. Carwyn and Brigid will learn that even secrets revealed can come back to haunt you when you least expect it.<br /><br />A continuation/spinoff of the Elemental Mysteries series. The timeline in this books stretches from BEFORE A Hidden Fire starts (so you see a little character history) until AFTER A Fall of Water finishes. As I’m sure lots of you could tell, Carwyn had quite a few things going on in his life that didn’t make it into Gio and Beatrice’s story. So Building From Ashes explores that storyline and also sets up the Elemental World for some new adventures...</i></blockquote>

<i>Angel Crawford is a loser</i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i>Living with her alcoholic deadbeat dad in the swamps of southern Louisiana, she's a high school dropout with a pill habit and a criminal record who's been fired from more crap jobs than she can count. Now on probation for a felony, it seems that Angel will never pull herself out of the downward spiral her life has taken.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i>That is, until the day she wakes up in the ER after overdosing on painkillers. Angel remembers being in an horrible car crash, but she doesn't have a mark on her. To add to the weirdness, she receives an anonymous letter telling her there's a job waiting for her at the parish morgue—and that it's an offer she doesn't dare refuse.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i>Before she knows it she's dealing with a huge crush on a certain hunky deputy and a brand new addiction: an overpowering craving for brains. Plus, her morgue is filling up with the victims of a serial killer who decapitates his prey—just when she's hungriest!</i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i>Angel's going to have to grow up fast if she wants to keep this job and stay in one piece. Because if she doesn't, she's dead meat.</i></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>My thoughts</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I have been pushing this off my reading list every time it appears in my kindle. I am glad that I finmally gave in and read this. I really am. Lemme just say paranormal, UF is an extraordinary world where authors brings new myths, stories, creatures to life that you never thought possible. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
When I hear the word Zombie it's associated with Walking Dead, Evil Dead anything that is mindlessly dead and do not at all have a brain, that works like human more like human brain eater. So Rowland's White Trash Zombie is one of those books that made me think twice about my zombiesist<i> (is that a word?) </i>ways. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
One of the thing that put me off reading this for so long was the cover. I know it's pretty but it's really not how I saw Angel Crawford when I read the book. I can not deny the fact that I do in fact love the cover but it just didn't get me started on the book immediately, so yeahhhh... that's just me =/</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I am trying retain myself from flailing around about the book right now but I will say that if you have even an inkling love for zombie anything really, this is the thing to try. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>I give this</b></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i>Following her critically-acclaimed iDrakula, award-winning author Bekka Black breathes life into a modern re-telling of iFrankenstein, using only text messages, web browsers, tweets, and emails. </i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i>Homeschooled teenager Victor Frankenstein is determined to write his own ticket to independence: a chatbot to win the prestigious Turing prize and admission to the high tech university of his choice. He codes his creation with a self-extending version of his own online personality and unleashes it upon the internet. But soon he begins to suspect his virtual clone may have developed its own goals, and they are not aligned with Victor’s. The creature has its own plan, fed by a growing desire to win darker and more precious prizes: unfettered power and release from loneliness.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i>As the creature’s power and sentience grows and its increasingly terrible deeds bleed over from the online world into the real one, Victor must stop his creation before his friends and humanity pay the ultimate price.</i></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>My thoughts</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This is the second cell phone novel I have read from Bekka Black. And like iDrakula this too was impossible to put down till the very end. iFrankenstein is the modern <i>techie </i>take of Mary Shelly's Frankenstein.<br />
<br />
Over the years there have been allot of movies, series, plays based on the original book, I ought to know cause I am a big <i>no </i>HUGE Frankenstein fan. However from all the Frankenstein takes I have witnessed thus far, iFranktenstein is one of the most memorable one. I suppose if Frankenstein was a teenager in this time of era I imagine he too would be quite the genius and create a monster such as VV that lived in the internet. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
iFrankenstein is definitely something worth checking out if you haven't already. And if you are looking for more cell phone novels like iFrankenstein I would also suggest you check out iDrakula, another awseome text/email tale of Dracula. </div>

After a childhood often spent without electricy and running water, Bekka escaped the beautiful wilderness of Talkeetna, Alaska for indoor plumbing and 24/7 electricity in Berlin, Germany. Used to the cushy lifestyle, she discovered the Internet in college and has been wasting time on it ever since (when not frittering away her time on her iPhone). Somehow, she manages to write novels, including the award-winning Hannah Vogel mystery series set, in all places, 1930s Berlin. The series has received numerous starred reviews and the first book, A Trace of Smoke, was chosen as a Writer’s Digest Notable debut.<br />
<br />
She lives in Hawaii with her husband, son, two cats, and too many geckoes to count. iDrakula is her first cell phone novel.<br />

<i>Seraphina’s keeping a secret from her Wandering team: she’s perfecting her fighting skills. But telling Sam and Bishop the truth would only alert them to her plan: to go back in time, save her mom, and finish what she started. With the help of Turner, Bishop’s handsome twin, she progresses toward her goal but plummets deeper into dangerous territory where the lines of friendship and romance are blurred. One passionate kiss changes everything, leading Sera to unravel a shocking web of family secrets, heartbreaking ulterior motives, and sinister agendas. <b>My thoughts</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Can I have the next book already! I simply can NOT wait to read the third book of the series. I honestly can not believe I have to wait another year before I have the third book in my hands. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Protecting Truth picks up a few months after the ending of Wander Dust, answering many of my unanswered questions and yet creating many ones at it's leave. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Seraphina has grown since Wander Dust, she is a little wiser, a bit more kick-ass and turning out to be strong Wanderer. I still swoon over Bishop, I do but Turner is GAHHH! Twins, yet so different from the other and it's so hard to choose. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I won't go into the lengthy details of the book but I sure as hail will rave about just how much I loved it <strike>specially Turner and Bishop</strike>. End verdict? If you have read Wander Dust you must check out Protecting Truth and in case you still have not read the <span style="text-align: right;">The Seraphina Parrish Trilogy yet, pick up Wander Dust and read it!!</span></div>

Michelle Warren didn’t travel the road to writer immediately. First, she spent over a decade as professional illustrator and designer. Her artistic creativity combined with her love of science fiction, paranormal, and fantasy led her to write her first YA novel, Wander Dust. Michelle loves reading and traveling to places that inspire her to create. She resides in Maryland, in a historic Baltimore row-home, with her wonderful husband.</div>

<i>She's looking for a nice, decent man. Someone who'll mow the lawn, flip chicken on the barbeque, teach their future children to play soccer. But most important... someone who won't inspire the slightest stirring in her heart...or anywhere else. A young widow, Lucy can't risk that kind of loss again. <div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>My thoughts</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Have we establish the fact by now that I am in love with contemporary romance, specially when it's Kristan Higgins'. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I confess I was a wee bit reluctant to read this because well with miss Higgins' books and me goes something like this, LOVE LOVE LOVE, meh ahh whinie noises, GAHH SO GOOD I WANT MORE, huh okay, BAM WOOOOOAHHHH. Does that at all make any sense? *cricket cricket* Well I guess not. However I enjoyed reading this book very much. Most of the contempt books I have read is far from the angsty stuff that's one of the main reasons for me to love this genre. But with 'The Next Best Thing' miss Higgins tried a bit of angst while it was still fluffy the angst just made the book more appealing as I went on. Again another record while reading this, yes I stayed up all night and finish it even though I had classes at 7 and had to work till 7 in the evening afterwards. Ahh good ol' times. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
End verdict, I love Kirtan Higgins and if you have seen me raving about her books trust me they are all good with a bit of bumpy rides.</div>

sense of humor. His smarts and big heart.</i></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-style: italic;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i>Whoa. No. Callahan O'Shea is not her perfect man! Not with his unsavory past. So why does Mr. Wrong feel so...right?</i></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>My Thoughts</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Before I go deep into my incoherent ranting I would just like to point out that from the four books I have read from Miss Higgins, this is the second book I loved. Now that is out of the way lemme tell you why I loved it. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
First, this is more of a <i>how </i>the characters first met and fell in love sort of story so comparing the previous books from Kristan Higgins I love reading about a boy meets girls and the process along the way of falling in love rather then they were already in love for years just didn't say it out loud. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The story in general is pretty nice. Grace take on how she had lied about her '<i>boyfriend</i>' is pretty hilarious, and reminded me a lot about my sixth grade. Yeah we all do it once to get into those social circles which later becomes rather awkward to talk about. Callahan O'Shea is not the typical boy next door we read so much about but in a way he also sort of is. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Must read.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>My thoughts</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Kristan Higgins' contemporary romance is one of my favorite. Specially when I need fluff I get one of her books. After reading Just One Of The Guys, I was pretty reluctant to read another Kristan Higgins but all in all it was a good read. I felt en-synced with the entire scenario.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I liked Harper's character, she felt real for one thing and like the previous romance novel I have read from Higgins, this too had the strong female character. She doesn't believe in the entire happily ever after thing, I guess that explained the divorce attorney part! Nick, ahh he is really sweet, he is the guy you would take home to meet the folks. I started reading this around midnight and I could not put it down down till the next day.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If you are contemporary romance lover and read anything from Kristan Higgins, you won't be disappointed.</div>

<i>On a bitter cold winter night Bailey Walsh’s family was killed in a traffic accident. Two years later as she lives with her aunt and uncle in Southern California, Bailey is still plagued by the nightmares of that terrible night. Everywhere around her are reminders of what she lost. Even her aunt, in a cruel twist of fate, is not just her mom’s sister, but her identical twin. <br /><br />Babysitting Riley, a spunky two-year old, is a sweet distraction and one constant light in her life. One day as she takes Riley to the park she meets Collin McKenna, a senior at her high school and her life is changed forever as he helps her find herself and realize her life is worth living.<br /><br />As the romance between them grows her broken heart begins to heal. However, still nagging in the back of her conscious is the fear that her new found happiness could come crashing down and she could lose everything she loves, yet again. <br /><br />Outside forces begin to tear them apart and Bailey must learn to trust in herself and realize that she is worthy of happiness. That sometimes love and healing comes in unexpected forms.</i></blockquote>
<b>My thoughts</b><br />
<br />
I am a sucker for good YA, I usually find myself reading YA with fluff and paranormal theme. A Healing Heart was a great change to that stereotypical reading.<br />
<br />
What attracted me most to the book was the word building, and Melissa did a great job bringing her characters to life. Making them so believable. I simply adored reading about Collin and Bailey, my only complain is the story ended to soon.<br />
<br />
What I struggled with was, sometimes character would go on a bit longer than necessary with their own monologue, making it hard to stay focused. Other than that it was a pretty solid. <br />
<br />
If you are looking for a quick, well put together YA romance, A Healing Heart is worth a shot.<br />

<b>My thoughts:</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Before I go ahead and start ranting about what I thought about the book lemme just say, I haven't read anything quite like this before. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I am fascinated by the idea of angels and demons and after looking at that beautiful cover, I just had to read the book. The illustration itself represents a lot about the story. Even though Dominion is my first book with angels, (<i>well not quite angels but Grandinians and Grantinians</i>) I really enjoyed reading about the characters. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Abigail isn't quite what I expected when I started reading Dominion, she was a surprise. Kindda sneaked up on me. Abigail is not a normal teenage girl, and like I said she kindda sneaked up on me. Gideon, here is one very twisted and sexy creature, that I liked reading about. No. Really. I did! He scares the life outta Abigail, and practically everyone, but I still likes him. It felt a bit like he was suffering from split personality disorder but heck, I liked him evil. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The author did an wonderful job bringing her characters to life and really awesome job with the twisty turns of the story that kept me guessing what's to come next. Recommended to readers who likes reading paranormal young-adult. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I am a movie freak. Yeash. That is right. I am addicted to good movie, series, you name it. I love them. Of course I don't love ALL of them. But I do love some of them and some I don't and some I can't even stand. They are not really that different from book love. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Soooo I am trying to have this new post thing about movies or series or whatevs that I watch, and I will try to maintain it by posting about what I watched or have been watching every other day. Now lets get on with it.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Last week I went to the this brand new theater with my besties and my sisters to watch <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1392170/" target="_blank">The Hunger Games</a>. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zbsd7dFtPp4/T85HhKPer6I/AAAAAAAABeM/XUtioUS-Qlc/s1600/the-hunger-games-movie-poster.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zbsd7dFtPp4/T85HhKPer6I/AAAAAAAABeM/XUtioUS-Qlc/s1600/the-hunger-games-movie-poster.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If you don't know what The Hunger Games is I will just narrow it down. It is one of my favorite books, written by <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suzanne_Collins" target="_blank">Suzanne Collins</a> and now turned into a movie featuring Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
You see me and my sisters are BIG HUUUUUGE fan of the books, and it's impossible to believe we waited that we waited this long to watch this. Let me just narrow it down to few parts and our reaction. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Every single time the characters were introduced my sisters screamed <i>*I may or may not have been a part of that screaming I can not specific*. </i></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m55hm5CL5g1qeh2vfo1_500.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m55hm5CL5g1qeh2vfo1_500.jpg" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">But I do remember saying something out loud about Liam</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The reaping, the time with Rue you know when if you read the book or watched the movie.... every time when the camera focused on Gale (Liam)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m54w2sdKB31r9lavw.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="136" src="http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m54w2sdKB31r9lavw.gif" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Yes it's a miracle that they didn't throw us out of the theater. Actually no. I knew this would happen so I had to take them to the movie during day, it's less crowded and more popcorn! </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I loved the movie, I really did. Not as much as the book but I loved watching it. I had some really sci-fi place drawn in my mind for the capital, in the movie it felt so much digitized that it just didn't do the awestruck thing I expected from it. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So all in all <i>(apart from my random pickieness) </i>it was a good movie. Go watch it with your family, don't take your best friend if they haven't read it yet. Because mine just stole my copy of the books. I am pretty sure I am not seeing them again.</div>

<br />
<b>My thoughts</b><br />
<br />
I finished reading this about ten minutes ago, I'm sure there is going to be TONS of typos when I'm done writing this post but I have to write this down now before I forget all these feels. I have so much love for this book right now it's simply indescribable!<br />
<br />
A Fall Of Water, is final installment of the Elemental Mysteries series. I have been sticking with this series from the very beginning and I am really glad that I stuck to it till the end. I still remember reading about Beatrice and Giovanni meeting for the first time in A Hidden Fire. Tenjin, Carwyn, Dez every one throughout these books have grown on me. And in A Fall Of Water, Ben has been one of my favorite character to read about. He is just a big sweetheart and I want more about this Vecchio.<br />
<br />
The last book goes into a bit deeper in the vampire myth than the previous books. Revealing more about the elements of the vampires and the power to manipulate it. One of the main thing that was fascinating to me was Giovanni's vampire bloodline, at the end I felt like learning more of the ancient vampires history. But hats off to Miss Hunter for bringing this awesome characters to life and thank you so much for introducing me to them.<br />
<br />
It breaks my heart to say goodbye to the characters and this story but this was really one of the perfect ending for a series. If you are a fan of paranormal vampire novels, <a href="http://www.goodreads.com/series/79846-elemental-mysteries" target="_blank">Elemental Mysteries</a> is a MUST read.<br />

<i>Being one of the guys isn't all it's cracked up to be...</i><br />
<i><br /></i><br />
<i>So when journalist Chastity O'Neill returns to her hometown, she decides it's time to start working on some of those feminine wiles. Two tiny problems: #1--she's five feet eleven inches of rock-solid girl power, and #2--she's cursed with four alpha male older brothers.</i><br />
<i><br /></i><br />
<i>While doing a story on local heroes, she meets a hunky doctor and things start to look up. Now there's only one problem: Trevor Meade, her first love and the one man she's never quite gotten over--although he seems to have gotten over her just fine.</i><br />
<i><br /></i><br />
<i>Yet the more time she spends with Dr. Perfect, the better Trevor looks. But even with the in-your-face competition, the irresistible Trevor just can't seem to see Chastity as anything more than just one of the guys....</i></blockquote>
<b>My thoughts</b><br />
<br />
After reading <a href="http://thenerdinheels.blogspot.com/2011/11/review-all-i-ever-wanted-by-kristan.html" target="_blank"><b>All I Ever Wanted</b></a> by Kristan Higgins, way back when.. I promised myself I would read more from this author. When I picked up my copy of Just One Of The Guys, and after reading it's synopsis I was sure this would be another WIN. But sadly it wasn't.<br />
<br />
I have mixed feelings towards this book really. The setting in a small town, independent girl Chasity bordering on her thirties, looking forward to settle down with someone she loves and a half hound-dog, half bull mastiff named Buttercup. BIG family, always an A+ in my book. Specially when she is the little sister of the clan. I know me and my siblings are very protective of our little brother :) So as I was saying BIG family with lots of nieces and nephews, great career and the only thing Chasity is missing right now is a husband and four kids.<br />
<br />
Yeah absolutely perfect for a contemporary romance theme. And so far I am in love with the entire thing. Now we come to the love life. In one side we have the fireman she had always loved since Chasity could understand the meaning of the word love. But he practically lives with his family <i>sooo </i>he was sortta like another son to her parents. And she doesn't want him to feel weird so they keep their distance but I swear there is something there. I am sure of it, and then in the other side we have the New York Times doctor with perfect cheekbones who just happens to waltz in Chasity's life. So who is the perfect suitor? Should be pretty clear right? WRONG! And I am still okay.<br />
<br />
Now is the time everything gets outta hand. Till almost end of the book everything seems to go somewhat smoothly with one of these 'suitors', and it was fine and dandy too, until ....until there was this triangle limbo. I like reading about a healthy love triangle like any other reader, but this was just twisted. I had no freaking clue who was suppose to be <i>it </i>for Chasity and it was just not that great like I hoped it would be.<br />
<br />
At the end I just have to say Just One Of The Guys was really disappointing, not comparing to Higgins' other work, but the triangle just put me off big time. Miss Higgins has written lots of great books, in fact
<a href="http://thenerdinheels.blogspot.com/2011/11/review-all-i-ever-wanted-by-kristan.html" target="_blank"><b>All I Ever Wanted</b></a> was one of my cupcake worthy books.<br />

<b>Synopsis from goodreads</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<blockquote style="background-color: #afdba5; color: black; margin: 1em 40px; padding: 15px;">
<i>Vampires in Chicago!You'd think headlines like that would have provoked the fine citizens of the Windy City to take up arms against us bloodsucking fiends. Instead, ten months later, we're enjoying a celebrity status reserved for the Hollywood elite-fending off paparazzi only slightly less dangerous than cross- and stake-wielding slayers. Don't get me wrong. Joe Public isn't exactly thrilled to be living side-by-side with the undead, but at least they haven't stormed the castle...yet.All that will change once they learn about the Raves-mass feeding parties where vampires round up humans like cattle and drink themselves silly. Most civilized vampires frown on this behavior-but that doesn't make good copy for a first-time reporter looking to impress his high-society family.So now my "master"-the centuries-old yet gorgeously well-preserved Ethan Sullivan-wants me to reconnect with my own upper-class family and act as liaison between humans and vampires...and keep the more unsavory aspects of our existence out of the media. But someone doesn't want people and vamps to play nicey-nice-someone with an ancient grudge.</i></blockquote>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>My Thoughts </b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Okie I am a bit late in posting reviews these days, but here we go. After the month long <a href="http://thenerdinheels.blogspot.com/search/label/Tempting%20Tuesday" target="_blank"><i>Some Girls Bite read-along</i></a> back in January I was pretty much in love with all the characters. I am still intrigued by them and definitely want to know if they will ever get their head out of their asses.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Merit, still has issues so does Ethan ... actually there is not a single character without some major WTF moments. I had random moments of 'stop it you..'. I can still relate to Merit's situation. Ethan still in denial about his feelings and I do believe he is the biggest jerk there is. I am serious Ethan, own up to your feelings dude! Sigh. But still I love the slow build up even though the sexual frustration between them is palpable. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Cather and Mallory, a little less lust-at-first-sight in this book but lust nonetheless. And I repeat, they are great character individually, I just don't feel the love. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I am still getting into the audiobook thing, I like reading my book rather than listening to it. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So at the end I must say I am going to see through this series even though Merit thinks what she does is right, Ethan finds making out is effective rather than taking her out on a date, Cather and Mallory needs to find something other than bareback in the kitchen, not enough JEFF. Cause lets face it, I'm too involve with the story to give up even though it frustrate me to no end. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>

She was born and raised in the South, but now makes her home in the Midwest–just close enough to <i>Cadogan House</i> and <i>St. Sophia’s</i>
to keep an eye on things. When not transcribing Merit’s and Lily’s
adventures, she bakes, works, and scours the Internet for good recipes
and great graphic design. Chloe also maintains her sanity by spending

dogs are in charge.)</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I signed up for Bout Of Books read-a-thon for next week so I can catch up to some of the readings I have missed out. New semester starts within two weeks and in this time I intent to get some reading done. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So my goal for the read-a-thon is at least 4 books. Fingers crossed, hopefully I'll have this done.</div>
